If you have just paid to have your eyebrows waxed, you have just sacrificed time, money, and comfort in the name of having brows that are "on fleek" or looking amazing. This is worth it to many people because it helps raise their confidence and makes them feel really good about their overall appearance. However, many people don't want to have wax poured on their eyebrows too often since the entire process is not as comfortable as many people would prefer. Here are some tips for maintaining your brows after you have had them waxed.

1. Remove Stray Hairs in the Direction That They Currently Grow

The first step is to accept that you are going to have stray hairs in between waxing sessions that will ruin the lines of your brows. You can deal with them by simply using tweezers to pull out the individual hairs that are giving you trouble. When you pull the hairs out, grasp each hair firmly in the tweezers and pull in the direction that the hair is currently growing. Don't try to pull it straight out if it is not currently growing straight. You want to pull along the lines of how the hair is currently growing in order to make sure that you experience as little pain as possible and to reduce the chances that you accidentally cause an ingrown hair, which can be unsightly and uncomfortable.

2. Consider Numbing Lotion

If you really hate pulling out the stray hairs that ruin your line, consider using a special numbing lotion. There are brow-specific numbing lotions that are applied using a small cotton swag. You use half of the swab to clean the area where you are going to apply the lotion and then the other half to actually activate the lotion and get it flowing. You can use it to numb the skin where your loose hairs are in your eyebrows and then pluck without too much trouble or pain.

3. Schedule in Advance

Finally, before you leave the salon, schedule your next wax in advance. This will allow you to hold yourself accountable and make sure that you don't let your eyebrows go for too long without being waxed. This is especially important if you find yourself putting off the appointments due to other commitments. If you have a schedule in your calendar, you are likely going to keep it.
